Legacies & Wills The inland Revenue receives over 2.3 billion annually from inheritance tax but did you know that leaving a legacy to Brownbread Horse Rescue is completely free from inheritance tax! Surprisingly 67% support charities in their lifetime but only 4.3% remember to support their charity they love in their Wills. You must make a proper Will; bits of scrap paper with no witnesses would just ensure that your money goes to the Inland Revenue.
Gift Aid For every one Pound you have given this charity or paid as a sub we can claim back 28p from the Taxman providing the money comes from a tax payer. Even if a wife makes a donation and is not a tax payer but her husband is and the money has come from him we can still claim the tax back. It doesn't matter how much tax you pay, even if you pay only £1 a year in tax, we can still claim the tax back on your donation! If the money that pays your sub or donation comes from taxed income ask us for a gift aid form . You sign & return it to us and we do all the claiming from the taxman.
How you can help What can you do? What do you want to do? We need help to run the Charity in all sorts of ways. Ring us on 01424 892381 or visit. You could help outside, fresh air & beautiful countryside, out on the farm or round the yard with the horses. You could work inside helping with the paper work, filing & computer/letters You could help in the garden area getting things smart for the Open Days & putting out chairs & tables. You could help by collecting donated tack or bric-a-brac that is offered to us all over Kent Sussex & Surrey & sell it at car boots . Above all you could help with raising funds; the ways of doing this are endless, coffee mornings, stall at a show (usually free for Charities) writing to places for sponsorship or raffle prizes, running a charity event for us, putting up posters in a town for our Open Days, etc. We can often help with making posters for your fund-raising do.

Loan Fees Please if you have a horse on loan remember to send your annual fee. These monies are desperately needed to rescue other horses. If you wish to pay by DD ask us for a form. Chasing after fees costs us time and charity money that is better spent on horse welfare.
